Catch to Cook

Catch to Cook is a recipe series developed in conjunction with Annabel Langbein and Sanford and Sons Fishmonger.

Using recipes originally developed by Chef Paulie Hooton at the Auckland Fish Market Seafood School, Annabel has put her special spin on them to create great tasting everyday meals, using some of the lesser known species.

A new recipe will be released each month, and you will be able to buy the meal kits (or just the fish) either in-store or online (here).

By focusing on everyday meals and not overwhelming kiwi’s with what fish goes with what dish, the aim is to help Kiwi’s enjoy more types of seafood more often.

This Month’s Catch to Cook Recipe: Fish Pie with Crispy Crumb

Included in each Catch to Cook Box (Serves 4 People):

  • 400g skinless, boneless fillets of meaty white fish (depending on daily catch – ling, gemfish, or hoki)
  • 200g smoked kahawai
  • Cream
  • Lemon
  • Parsley
  • Panko Crumbs
  • Parmesan

Not included in Catch to Cook Box (but needed for the recipe):

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of milk
  • 3 tbsp of cornflower
  • Salt
  • White pepper
  • 3 eggs
