Many know Mirror Dory as John Dory’s other brother. Leaner and affordable, Mirror Dory has a sweet, clean and mild flavour and is just as versatile when cooking.

 

Recognisable by its shimmery scaleless body, Mirror Dory also have the eye-shaped spot on each flank but is slightly smaller in size. Our Mirror Dory are caught around the North Island and at the top of the South Island all year round, meaning you can buy fresh Mirror Dory fillets whenever you need it.
